Every winter, Grand Canyon Railway presents the Polar Express, which departs in the evenings for the North Pole to see Santa Claus.

HISTORIC TRAIN TOURS TO GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
Book your reservation online for train tours on one of five classes of service on our vintage train to Grand Canyon National Park. Or, select a vacation package that includes lodging at our own Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and at the Grand Canyon. Find information on the new Grand Canyon Railway RV Park, or, experience the magic of the Polar Express.

The Grand Canyon – the most magnificent of the seven natural wonders. Of all that may pull you to the Grand Canyon, nothing is more powerful than Grand Canyon Railway’s fleet of vintage locomotives. As the mighty giant pulls you closer you’re more than content to watch a remarkable world go by in the comforts of your train car. Out your window, high desert turns to prairie, prairie to pine. It’s a view that’s ever changing until you come across a view that changes so dramatically, it could very well change you. Welcome to Grand Canyon National Park.

The Ride of Another Lifetime

For history, one would be hard pressed to compete with the five million year old Grand Canyon, but at Grand Canyon Railway, we try our best. Each train engine, both steam and diesel, and each train car, from Coach to First Class, has been painstakingly restored to its original state by a staff of mechanics who see their work as more a labor of love than a job. During the train tour, your crew is no less enthusiastic. Each is bursting with local and Grand Canyon folklore and history, as well as Grand Canyon Railway knowledge. Strolling musicians catch you up with what was hot way back when. And there’s even fun recreations of an old fashioned shoot out and a train robbery. In other words, we take you to the Grand Canyon. And back.

Train tours depart daily from Williams Depot for the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

The Sunset Limited
GCR is proud to present a NEW first-class special event – the Sunset Limited. The exclusive afternoon excursion train will depart in the fall on its way through the changing seasons to an engagement with a Grand Canyon sunset. Limited departure dates – get your tickets today!
