Northstar Cafe - Columbus, Ohio
Best Coffee Columbus
Guest Author: Maureen Metcalf
One of my favorite restaurants in Columbus, Ohio is Northstar café. It was established in 2004 and reminds me of a busy coffee shop in New York or Washington DC. The urban ambiance and eclectic crowd along with carefully prepared food created from locally grown food in most cases. The food is made from scratch with an emphasis on organic ingredients.
Healthy, locally grown, organic and great taste. That is the real ticket. The meals range from great freshly squeezed juices, scones and muffins, amazing cookies, salads, sandwiches, and meatloaf for the more traditional diners. The coffee is strong and fresh and they have a nice offering of wine and beer.
They feature art from local galleries and have an open ambiance with almost every magazine you can imagine on a large wall sized display for you to read. It is the best combination of relaxing coffee shop, great healthy food and cosmopolitan energy. If you are visiting Columbus, Ohio consider checking it out and if you stop by on the first Saturday night of the month you will get the added benefit of gallery hop where local galleries stay open late and draw an interesting crowd to this section of town.
