Mr Smith’s of Georgetown - Washington, D.C.

Be sure and know the words to Piano Man when you sing with Jon Adelman at MR SMITH’S OF GEORGETOWN

Mr. Smith’s is located in the heart of the historic section of Washington, DC — just a short distance from the White House.

We have been here for over 40 years awaiting your visit. In that time we’ve served nearly ten million people. Our popularity is most likely due to the homemade food at very reasonable prices, served in relaxed, casual surroundings.

As you enter you will see an Antique Bar with several patrons being served and entertained by one of our two famous Bartenders – one from Ireland and the other from Scotland. Don’t be fooled by the bar atmosphere with its Antique Mirrors and Tiffany lamps– just stroll by the Sing-a-Long Piano Bar and into the secret Garden Patio.

The hidden Garden is the largest in Georgetown (seating for over 150 guests). You will like the relaxed atmosphere while having Lunch or Dinner. Heated with Fireplaces in Winter and refreshingly Air-Conditioned in Summer. An Electronic Roof that opens to the sky, gas Coach Lamps, wall-to-wall Mural and pleasant Music provide a very enjoyable setting.

Our Chef has been with us for over 25 years and so has our Senior Manager. So you can be sure you will be well taken care of by our friendly, experienced Staff.

One customer summed up Mr. Smith’s quite nicely a few years ago when he said “…with its faded Victorian elegance, Mr. Smith’s is the place to go for good food and great fun!”

Reservations are not required except for parties of 10 or more. And the dress is casual – after all, this is the “friendliest saloon in town!”.
