DinTaiFung, Taipei

A small shop, located on the intersection of Xinyi Road, section 2 and Yungkang Street in Taipei City, has become a symbol of Chinese delicacies with its “steamed dumplings”.

DinTaiFung established its reputation and have been highly praised by the media including being selected as one of the top ten restaurants in the world by the “New York Times”. It has also been voted as the most favored dining place by political and commercial celebrities and is one of the must-see places for national and international stars.

DinTaiFung is not only successful in the Japanese market but also in other cities like Shanghai and Hong Kong. The success of DinTaiFung does not end here and the legend is still continuing.

More than a third of DinTaiFung’s sales volume is generated from the Japanese market. Japanese tourists, perusing the menu while waiting to be seated, often crowd DinTaiFung’s little restaurant in Japan. Often, they take pictures of the restaurant as memorabilia.

Even when the lines are long, diners still wait patiently to be seated. The waiting crowds has also brought fortune to nearby shops.
