Cranky Sue’s - Cannon Beach, Oregon

Guest Author: Julie Bonn Heath

Best Seafood Diner - Oregon

Cranky Sue’s in Cannon Beach, Oregon is a must-stop for anyone traveling along the Oregon Coast. Sue (who really isn’t very cranky at all) is a kick in the pants and whips up delightful, down-to-earth dishes for all tastes. They now have a full bar and best of all, a gluten-free menu (as well as a regular one).

Along with the gluten-free menu came a fan club and now people travel from all over Oregon and beyond to enjoy their food that tastes downright good. They even have a gluten-free clam chowder (unheard of) and gluten-free, breaded fish and chicken. The Caesar Salad’s are yummy too.

The interior of The Crank’s restaurant is like a mini-museum in itself. To look around, you would think that Sue also has a design degree because it is eclectic, mixed and also professional-looking. But she doesn’t. She does, obviously, have flare and knack that extends far past her menu and somehow can make a variety of pieces flow in perfect harmony.

I love the signs on the wall. One is a Crank-O-Meter that judges Sue’s mood of the moment and several are sarcastic renditions of various mantras that will make you laugh out loud.

Cranky Sue’s can seriously do no wrong! They’ve received great write-ups in regional and national pubs and truly live up to that reputation. I tell everyone I know about Cranky Sue’s and encourage you to stop by, as well!

Thank you so much to my guest author, Julie Bonn Heath from the gorgeous Oregon Coast. Julie’s a PR whiz, and you can follow her on twitter @juliebonnheath
