Chuy’s – Austin’s Favorite Tex-Mex
Guest Author: Kim Haynes
Chuy’s has set itself apart and defined itself as Austin’s king of Tex-Mex. It’s a rarity but Chuy’s is one of those restaurant’s that has been able to replicate their food taste and quality with every single visit without fail. There are now five in Austin / Round Rock locations, four in Houston, one in Dallas and one in San Antonio. Regular visitors return over and over for their Chuy’s fix be it their favorite meals or drink.
Our family favorites include the Deluxe Chicken Enchiladas; Chicken Flautas; the Chuychanga; and the Tacos al Carbon. When the wait staff brings your chips be sure to look like a regular and ask for the creamy jalapeño sauce too! It’s a yummy alternative to their fabulous chunky salsa.
And be sure to pay attention to the fun décor too! Each Chuy’s is eclectically decorated and always has a fun tribute area to Elvis. There are also lots of hubcaps, painted velvet, and fish! This is definitely a must see and eat at place!
Thank You so very much to one of my favorite twitterers & bloggers - Texan Kim Haynes for this delicious post. You can follow her on twitter @kimhaynes

I love Chuy’s and have for years. My family lives in Dallas, and we go there often when I am home. Hmmm… now I’m hungry.
