Although the hotel lies right on the fine white sands of Zihuatanejo’s Playa La Ropa - by many accounts one of Mexico’s most beautiful beaches - if you look towards it from the ocean you will hardly know it is there. As if by a miracle, Villa del Sol disappears in the lush vegetation, and it seems that only if you squint real hard, you will see a few terracotta-tiled and thatched “palapa” roof tops peeking out of the green sea of rustling coconut palms.

The warm waters, naturally sheltered from the Pacific, are ideal for swimming and all kinds of water sports year-round. At Villa del Sol we make arrangements for windsurfing, sailing, water-skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving or deep sea fishing.
