Bed Breakfast & Beyond - The Meranova - Dunedin, Florida
Guest Author: Sandi McKenna
Offering luxury accommodations in a stylish, contemporary setting,The Meranova Guest Inn is located in the charming hamlet of Dunedin, Florida.
Beautiful Bed & Breadkfast
The Meranova is the brainchild of Frank Baiamonte & David Roy. They are absolutely the perfect hosts, and the Meranova Guest Inn is the like no other B&B anywhere. It is situated in the heart of this lovely sleepy “old Florida” town with several great restaurants and watering holes on or around this movie-set Main Street.
The first thing you notice as you enter through the gate of the white picket fence are the grounds which are exquisite, painstakingly manicured with a spectacular orchid garden.
Each elegantly appointed suite is distinctively different, with a private entrance, most with a porch or balcony, and all with private baths, and kitchenette. Each suite has it own personality and theme and you will discover a treasure trove of collectibles, whimsical folk art, and rare antique shop finds.
Upon arrival your suite welcomes you with a snifter of cognac and a chocolate to savor. The bedding is luxurious and the beds ultra-comfortable.
Breakfast is brought to your room, porch, gazebo or poolside when YOU want it. To call it gourmet is an understatement. Breakfast is absolutely phenomenal.
Chef Frank combines artistry and passion to create an unforgettable meal. Imagine the most incredible stuffed French toast or my favorite his Tuscan Breakfast which consists of scrambled eggs placed upon fresh baked Pugliese Bread bread ( a simple country Italian bread), served with a salsa fresca a (chiffanod of baby spinach & fresh basil with tomatoes, green onions & olive oil) and the dish is finished with fresh ricotta cheese. All breakfasts are served with freshly brewed coffee and/or tea, juice, a low fat yogurt parfait of fresh berries & homemade granola, an assortment of seasonal fresh fruit and a basket of baked goods with jam & butter. Unbelievably delicious and so hearty it will carry you well past lunch.
Don’t like to eat the same meal twice, no problem. Even if it’s your second or third stay Chef Frank keeps a record of guest breakfast preferences and those he’s already served you as never to repeat, unless of course, upon request.
While maintaining a priority for guests privacy, the innkeeper’s enthusiasm for the property, which they have carefully restored, renovated and designed, is truly infectious. You will be captivated by their tales of their search for the perfect property that would allow them the full opportunity to culminate their collective professional experiences.
Frank & David’s restaurant recommendations and insights to all the offerings in Dunedin are invaluable to guests who enjoy rediscovering the warmth and surprisingly sophisticated lifestyle in this classic American town.
Available nightly, weekly, or monthly, the Meranova Guest Inn has “All of the comforts of home” and much more. It is easy to see why it is a favorite among vacationers and corporate guests year after year. For guests who have extended stays, they have two suites equipped with full kitchens which are spacious, airy, and designed to be your perfect “home away from home”.
My thanks to Sandi McKenna for her fantastic travel recommendation of The Meranova, I don’t know about you, but I’m anxious to visit! You can follow Sandi @McMedia on Twitter.
