Suppenküche - San Francisco

Best German Food San Francisco

Welcome to Suppenküche, a German restaurant in San Francisco. We are located in Hayes Valley near the Civic Center. We are open every day for Dinner from 5:00 to 10:00pm, and for Brunch on Sundays from 10:00am to 2:30pm. During all of our hours we serve Beer and Wine. To make reservations for parties of six or more, you can call us at 415.252.9289. Valet Parking is now available for $7 per car, Wednesday through Saturday, 5:30pm to 10:00pm. Drop of and pick up cars in front of Tandoori Grill (located across the street).

We invite you to explore the Traditions behind the Suppenküche, and the sensations of German food and beer from different regions of Germany, with an emphasis on Bavarian cooking. We want to help you to enjoy our traditional ways of preparing and serving food, and have included some Recipes for you to try out at home. Our philosophy is that simpler tastes in life are the best. We are providing quality to our customers in an atmosphere where they can relax, eat, talk to their friends, and are pleased by a good meal where all the elements are well-considered and prepared in the most authentic manner. Suppenküche is not an ordinary restaurant: it is more like a traditional German Wirtshaus. The atmosphere comes not only from the aesthetics of the restaurant itself but also from the people: the conversations they have there warmed by the heartiness of the food. Our food is simple, honest in every detail and prepared very traditionally– without combining tastes that diminish the intensity of the meal. People leave the Suppenküche satisfied.
