I’ve been on every dive boat in Southern California and Yup, the hype is true. At first thought they were going to be cocky since the boat’s website is a bit arrogant. But the crew and captain are great people. Now this is the only boat I use. With over 150 logged dives with the Sand Dollar, I can agree that they are the best. Thumbs up for SD boat and crew.
When I see the trip postings at dive shops around LA and OC I look for the sand dollar and even if the price is a little higher than other boats… ill still choose the SD! The crew, food, and extremely knowledgeable George (captain) make each trip special regardless of the divers level or number of trips they have been on.
Great boat with a brand new deck and paintjob. The crew is laid back and very helpful every time

The Sand Dollar won’t disappoint in any area - great staff, service, service, service, dive locations, food! Captain George knows every great spot and will find the best diving on any day. The great fun, casual friendly atmosphere really makes for a memorable southern CA diving experience! I love that I don’t have to lug tanks and weights to the boat too!
