Pacific Dining Car - Los Angeles, California

Great Steaks Los Angeles
Since its founding in 1921 by Fred and Grace Cook, the Pacific Dining Car name has stood for quality. Now in its third generation of ownership, that tradition continues.
The Pacific Dining Car is proud to serve only the best U.S.D.A. Prime American Corn-Fed Beef. All steaks are aged on the premises to enhance their flavor and tenderness. Finally, the steaks are cut by our butcher, then grilled over mesquite charcoal to lock in all the natural juices.
In addition to serving the best steaks in Los Angeles, our guests can choose from a wide selection of both traditional and contemporary dishes. All meals are prepared and served with the exacting attention to quality that has made the Pacific Dining Car famous.
The full 24-hour serving day at Pacific Dining Car in downtown Los Angeles is unique for a fine restaurant. It marks the first time that downtowners have a real alternative in late-night dining. And it also gives the earliest downtown business person a start on the day in luxurious surroundings, with caring service for a superb breakfast.
Los Angeles Metropolitan restaurants and bars from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s (buildings, movie palaces, motel signs, and remnants of Rt. 66 as well) - places like the Brown Derby Restaurant, Musso and Frank’s, the Formosa Cafe, Miceli’s Restaurant and Canter’s Deli - this website concentrates on those bastions of a bygone era.
