FiRE + iCE

Fun Restaurant

FiRE + iCE - an improvisational grill

The original FiRE + iCE Restaurant opened in Cambridge’s Harvard Square in 1997 and quickly became a favorite with students, office workers, couples and families. FiRE + iCE expanded by opening locations in Providence, Rhode Island in 1999, Boston’s Back Bay in 2000 and in the Marriott Timber Lodge in South Lake Tahoe, California in 2003.

FiRE + iCE Restaurant has been nationally recognized by many restaurant publications, and was awarded the 2000 Readers Choice Poll by the Boston Phoenix. With its interactive dining atmosphere, FiRE + iCE is a unique experience that awakens the senses, warms the taste buds, and appeals to everyone. The Nation’s Restaurant News also recognized the creativity of FiRE + iCE by awarding their “Hot Concept!” award, which honors the newest and most exciting restaurants.

Each restaurant holds a marketplace of fresh meats, seafood, pastas, internationally influenced sauces, and both exotic and traditional vegetables. FiRE + iCE offers diners an endless array of culinary possibilities waiting to be fired up to your taste on an over-sized round open grill.

With a colorful and quirky atmosphere, FiRE + iCE entices guests to have a fun and exciting time while enjoying great food and drinks. In an age when diners have grown accustomed to asking for meals to be specially prepared to suit individual tastes, FiRE + iCE allows guests full control in the opportunity to personally select ingredients and sauces to create the perfect meal. Guests present their favorite selections to the chefs behind the grill and are invited to supervise as their food is prepared.

According to founder Jim Miller, “FiRE + iCE will please everyone who wants to create their own inventive combinations. It is a fun, fresh and exciting dining experience that caters to individual tastes and preferences.”
