Phillip Island Penguin Parade - Victoria, Australia
Guest Author: Julie Friedman
Phillip Island presents a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the world’s smallest penguins. These small animals make their nightly traverse from the ocean to land and give adults and kids a fun-filled night of animal-watching. Even in summer months, the temperatures can be cooler so make sure to bring extra layers and even some blankets to use during the wait.
Thank you so much to my guest author, Julie Friedman, lover of Australia for this post. It’s amazing the variety of cool places to go in Australia!

This is going on my things to do list !
I love penguins !
I’m glad the penguins are still coming back. I visited over 20 years ago, and remember having to wait until dusk in very cold conditions to see the little fairy penguins make their way up the beach to the nests nearby.
I recently experienced the Penguin Parade and it was an absolute delight! The little penguins are so cute and so fun to watch. I highly recommend this joyous activity to all wildlife enthusiasts!
