Disc Dog Southern Nationals

The US Disc Dog Southern Nationals Presented by Frontline and Heartgard: The planet’s largest and most prestigious Frisbee Dog event, this event features agile world class Frisbee Dog teams from around the country in fierce paw-to-paw but fun six-level championship competition for trophies, cash, and other prizes.

*Please note that per City of Atlanta Ordinance, only canines that are pre-registered for this event will be allowed. As someone observed, “You wouldn’t take your pony to the Kentucky Derby…please don’t take your pet dog to the U.S. Southern Nationals!.”

Hosted by the Greater Atlanta Dog & Disc Club in association with WOOF! Sports USA and presented by Frontline and Heartgard, the U.S. Disc Dog Southern Nationals is the planet’s premier Frisbee Dog contest. The Southern Nationals features world class Frisbee Dogs from around the country vying for a share of great trophies, cash, and other prizes, plus invitations to the US Nationals Finals.

The Southern Nationals features 6 divisions of championship competition so beginners all the way up to the most advanced can get in on all the fun. Freestyle teams from around the country will compete paw-to-paw on Saturday with the top dogs of the National Super-Open Division advancing the US Disc Dog Nationals to be held in Louisville, KY. Sunday’s competition features four divisions of Toss & Fetch competition: Junior, Novice, Pro, and Super-Pro.

If you want to compete on Saturday or Sunday in any of the divisions of competition go to the Greater Atlanta Dog & Disc Club website www.atlantadiscdogs.com to receive a Canine Entry Pass for Competing Dogs only.

Bring your cameras! Bring your family (leavc your family dog at home)! Former World Champions Melissa Heeter & Ariel Asah and her champion dog, Ariel Ally, along with other Greater Atlanta Dog & Disc Club members will perform several freestyle demonstrations on the first day of the festival Friday April 13th at 12, 1:30, and 3pm. The contest runs Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
